Traci Angel began following the Lake of the Ozarks' environmental situation while on a Knight fellowship at the University of Missouri School of Journalism in 2006, although she had spent time at the Lake growing up in mid-Missouri.
She has tracked down many historical documents and scientific studies to tell this story, which she hopes will provide evidence to the deterioration of the Lake area's natural beauty.
