Traci Angel is a Missouri native, who grew up in Mexico, Mo., about 90 miles northeast of the Lake of the Ozarks.
She is an independent journalist whose byline has appeared in regional and national publications and online sources. She was managing editor at St. Louis Magazine, a University of Missouri School of Journalism Knight fellow, an Associated Press newswoman and a health reporter for the Jackson Hole News and Guide. She has written and reported for The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, E/Environmental Magazine and National Geographic Traveler. She is an adjunct professor for the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she teaches mass communication. She also frequently writes for local and regional publications, including The Pitch in Kansas City.
She earned a bachelor’s in communication and Spanish from Saint Louis University and a master’s from the University of Missouri School of Journalism with a focus on health and science writing.
She lives in Kansas City, Mo. with her husband and two young children.
